Course: HFT 4759- Product Development in Theme Parks and Attractions taught by Professor Bill Zanetti

Project dates: January 17th - April 17th

Objective: Retheme a pre-existing dark ride to understand the development of new attractions within a theme park.

Attraction Assigned: Men In Black: Alien Attack in Universal Studios Orlando

The ride system and show building would remain, but the experience will have a new tone, new story, and new targets to shoot at. Our project would include retheming:

• The surrounding World Expo: an apocalyptic city on the edge of ruin

• Resident Evil Battle for Raccoon City: Riders will enter the secret Umbrella Corporation Laboratory and confront their experiments.

• Amenities: the attached arcade, bathrooms, and Coke Freestyle station will all adopt a similar run-down appearance to match the Police Station façade.

Our ride will be a trip through the sewers and the Umbrella Corporation’s secret laboratory to escape Raccoon City with the hero, Leon, to guide the way.
